With a degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management and ongoing studies in Quantity Surveying, Monique blends business insight with a deep appreciation for design and quality.

Having worked with leather since 2018, she took ownership of MAAK in 2025 with a vision to expand beyond traditional manufacturing, creating timeless leather goods, offering corporate gifting solutions, and supporting local brands through custom production.

Monique believes in excellence through purpose, proudly continuing MAAK’s legacy of South African craftsmanship while shaping it into a modern, sustainable brand that reflects creativity, collaboration, and the beauty of making things well.
